Sometimes we go through events or experiences that leave us questioning whether we are coping in an effective way. Some expert input can be an invaluable way to guide you back on track towards a healthier future, or provide some much-needed reassurance in instances of uncertainty.

Mental Health MOT with The CBT Space

What is a Mental Health MOT? 

This 60 minute Mental Health MOT is a one-off appointment to discuss your current worries, coping strategies, routines or behaviours and receive some expert guidance on ways to improve or change how you are dealing with situations. It is much easier to intervene at an early stage before short-term coping strategies become long-term habits that you cannot function without.

What does the appointment involve?

Over the course of an hour, we will discuss any issues, questions or worries that are concerning you. We will then build a personalised formulation together using CBT and counselling-based skills. I will also provide you with guidance on specific techniques to implement, if needed, to help prevent possible future issues arising.

Who would benefit from a Mental Health MOT? 

This session is for individuals who feel confident in their abilities to implement advice given without the need for ongoing support and is available virtually (via video or telephone call) or in-person at The CBT Space in Exmouth. Although this is offered as a singular appointment, it is recommended to check-in for a mental health MOT every 6-12 months.
